13 questions in 5 sections, below.

The basics

Does this replace my Shopify checkout completely?

It sits alongside it. Outfalak Checkout adds a Buy Now button to your product pages that opens the one-page checkout; the standard Shopify cart and checkout stay exactly where they are, so nothing breaks for a shopper who prefers them.

Do my orders still appear in the Shopify admin?

Yes. Every paid order is created in your Shopify admin with the inventory adjusted, so fulfilment, shipping apps and your accounting carry on exactly as before. Nothing about your existing workflow has to change.

Setting it up

Do I need Shopify, or does it work on WordPress?

Either. On Shopify it is an app you install from your admin; on WordPress it is a plugin you upload and connect. The checkout the shopper sees, and the dashboard you read it from, are the same on both.

How long does setup take?

Installing from Shopify and connecting a payment gateway takes a few minutes. The Buy Now button is added to your theme automatically during install, so there is no code to paste and no developer to book.

Will it match my store's design?

You set the logo, the primary colour and the corner radius in the app settings, and the checkout picks them up on the next page load. The layout itself stays fixed — it is the part that is tuned for conversion.

Payments and COD

Who holds the money?

You do. Payments run through your own Razorpay, Cashfree or PayU account, so settlements reach your bank on your gateway's normal schedule. We never take custody of your funds and we are not in the settlement path.

Can I offer Cash on Delivery?

Yes, with controls: a flat or percentage COD fee, a minimum and maximum order value, and an optional OTP so a COD order is only accepted from a verified phone number. COD orders awaiting collection get their own screen in the admin.

What happens if a payment fails halfway?

The checkout session stays open so the shopper can retry without re-entering anything, and the attempt is recorded with the gateway's failure reason. If a shopper pays but the browser never comes back, the gateway webhook reconciles the order on its own.

Plans and billing

Is there a transaction fee on top of my gateway's?

No. You pay your gateway's usual rate and the plan fee here — there is no percentage cut of your sales on top.

What happens if I go over my plan's order limit?

Nothing breaks and no order is refused. We get in touch about moving you to the plan that fits.

Can I cancel?

Uninstall the app from your Shopify admin whenever you like. Billing stops at the end of the current period, the Buy Now button disappears from your theme, and your orders remain in Shopify where they always were.

Data and privacy

What happens to customer data if I uninstall?

The access token is dropped immediately, so the app can no longer read your store or take payments. Your orders and settings are kept so that a reinstall finds them intact, and Shopify's shop-redaction webhook erases everything tied to your store when it arrives.

Do you see card numbers?

No. Card details are entered inside the gateway's own payment sheet and never reach our servers. We store the gateway's payment reference and the result, which is what a refund and a reconciliation need.

Put a one-page checkout on your store

Install the Shopify app or the WordPress plugin, switch on the payment methods you already use, and the Buy Now button appears on your product pages. Nothing to paste into your theme.
